Turkish State Mint
Turkish State Mint, established by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror in the vicinity of the Beyazıt Mosque in 1467, shortly after the conquest of Istanbul, to meet the rapidly growing monetary demands of the expanding empire, is a venerable state institution with a 555-year history. Today, it continues its production operations at its Beşiktaş/Balmumcu facility, which commenced operations in 1967, and its Kartal/Cevizli facility, which began operations in 2012.

The General Directorate of the Mint and Revenue Stamp Printing Office provides a wide range of services and products, including assaying and hallmarking of non-standard, unprocessed precious metals; production of the Republic of Turkey passports, Turkish Republic identity cards, marriage certificates, identity cards for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, commercial vehicle registration documents, all types of visa and revenue stamps, various other valuable papers and secure cards; minting of Republic commemorative and bullion gold coins, circulation coins, commemorative coins; production of all official seals of the Republic of Turkey; and manufacturing of medallions, state medals, and orders. Additionally, it offers solutions and services tailored to public sector requirements through its secure product tracking system.
